Where did you grow up/go to school? What did you study?

I grew up in Inverness, located in the lush northwest suburbs of Chicago. I eventually found myself at the University of Iowa and left with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology.

What is your favorite thing about working in Chicago?

Chicago summers. There is so much going on and so many interesting, outdoor markets that makes the city really feel awake.

What are you binge-watching on Netflix right now?

I just finished watching Stranger Things 2 like nearly everyone else! #JusticeForBob

If you could meet any fictional character in real life, who would it be?

I think meeting Steve Zissou would be an interesting affair. I am really into scuba diving and documentaries so adding Bill Murray to that equation seems like a great time.

Who is your favorite band/musician?

One of the hardest questions there is, but I am going to go with The Strokes.

If you won a free vacation, where would you go and why?

I would definitely go to Bali or somewhere way out there. It would be a great opportunity to disconnect from everything and really spend time enjoying the present in a beautiful place.

What advice would you give to someone who is looking to have a career in your field?

Communicate! Asking questions and staying on the same page with the team can be a huge advantage when it becomes crunch-time.

What about JB caught your attention during your job hunt?

The team atmosphere and the history of course! I really appreciate JB’s story and the group has been awesome from day one. When you have a team like that who also do amazing work, it makes the decision to join very easy.
