Fall is a season of change — new jobs, new school year, colder days, pumpkin flavored everything and changing leaves, just to name a few. With all of these changes, you’re bound to meet some new people and you’ll probably have to learn a few things about them.

As JB Chicago’s new fall intern, I figured it’s important to get to know some of my co-workers and ask them a few questions that will really give me insight on their wonderful personalities. Here’s who we’ve got:

Steve Gaither, President

Christina Calderon, Creative Director + COO

Kimberly Laughlin, Brand Strategist + Senior Copywriter

Dane McDonald, Junior Copywriter + Social Media Coordinator

Lindsey Lullo, Account Supervisor

Jessica Deahl, Lead Designer

It’s time to break the ice with the JB Chicago team.

What do you NEVER leave the house without?

Steve: iPhone.

Christina: Burt’s Bees chapstick

Kimberly: Phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses.

Dane: Burt’s Bees chapstick.

Lindsey: iPhone and chapstick.

Jessica: In addition to the usual (keys, wallet, phone) I have to have headphones on me at all times.

What was the greatest concert you’ve ever attended? Is there a concert you’d love to attend but haven’t?

Steve: David Byrne and Lyle Lovett tied with John Hyatt. [I’d love to see] Brian Wilson (Pet Sounds).

Christina: Greatest was Ghostland Observatory at Schubas in Chicago. Always wanted to see The Cure.

Kimberly: Lolla, 2011. It poured, and it was so fun. [I’d love to attend] any concert at Wrigley.

Dane: Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers tour changed my life. And I would love to see Kanye West in concert.

Lindsey: Ah this is a hard one — Run the Jewels and Phantogram this year at Lolla and The Black Keys and Cage the Elephant a few years ago!

Jessica: Arcade Fire at the Shrine Audiotorim. It was an amazing show and the first time I appreciated how nice it is to have a designated seat at a concert.

What is the best purchase you’ve made in the last 6 months? Worst?

Steve: An adidas sweatshirt (best). A Ninja coffee machine (worst).

Christina: Best is a Talking Farm membership to get fresh veggies delivered every week. Worst is an over-priced and not good seafood dish from a local restaurant.

Kimberly: A condo (best). A condo (worst).

Dane: Best was all the money I spent at Disneyland on my birthday. I can’t think of any single purchase I regret, but I spent way too much money at Starbucks when I was moving.

Lindsey: Plane tickets to Colorado (best). Um… can having to pay 6 months of car insurance be the worst?

Jessica: Best – Pizza. Worst – Pizza.

What is something that is popular now that people will look back on in 5 years and regret?

Steve: Socks pulled up.

Christina: Knee-high gladiator sandals — hideous.

Kimberly: Extreme makeup contouring, a la the Kardashians (ew).

Dane: Fidget Spinners.

Lindsey: Track pants.

Jessica: E-Cigarettes.

Where’s “home” for you? What about a second home?

Steve: Chicago (home). South Bend (second home).

Christina: Home is Evanston, IL. Second home is Pilsen neighborhood.

Kimberly: Home is Chicago. Second home is Indianapolis… or vice versa. Still not sure how to answer that, after 10 years of living here.

Dane: Home is my grandparent’s old house in Michigan. A second home is any movie theater.

Lindsey: Chicago and NYC.

Jessica: Wyoming (home). ATX (second home).

What song could you sing start to finish without forgetting any lyrics?

Steve: Almost any Beastie Boys song.

Christina: “Passing Me By” by Pharcyde.

Kimberly: Big Pun and Fat Joe, “Still Not a Player.”

Dane: Pretty much any song that was in a Disney movie between 1989 to 1999.

Lindsey: All the Spice Girls songs.

Jessica: “Aeroplane Over the Sea” — Neutral Milk Hotel.

Well, I’d say I get to work with some pretty cool people at JB Chicago. I am definitely looking forward to the next three months here… and the donuts.
